Ladies and Gents, The time has come for me, Lindsey, to move on to not necessarily greener or prettier pastures but different ones none the less. I have wholeheartedly enjoyed working with the gals at each of the Wedding 101 Studios, watching as this once small little business has grown from one to three, and meeting each and every bride, groom, and vendor alike. The pretty inspiration and education will still continue right here on the blog. You’ll simply have a different guide. Over the years there I’ve gathered a few hard and fast rules when it comes to wedding planning and want to share them with you before I move on.
That’s it. I’m sure if I think here long enough I can come up with a few more but those are my top rules and if you’ve been a long time reader, you know them by heart of course. I’ll miss writing to you each week, seeing your beautiful real weddings, and helping to make your big days all that you want them to be but I’m also excited for new thing to come. Hugs, and always, congratulations!
Now on to the lemon sugar scrub! A perfect gift for all the ladies you may need gifts for and cute printable labels to boot!

If you want to continue to read posts by me, you can always head on over to The Reagans Rock and watch as my husband and I breath life into a 1950′s ranch home who’s previous owner had a ‘very interesting’ style of her own.
Farewell, au revoir, arrivederci, & adiós my lovelies! ♥

Two pretty Real Weddings for such a pretty pretty day. This one is shared by Jessie Holloway Photography of the Nashville Studio!
From Jessie Holloway Photography: Meeting Cait and Joel at their engagement session, only made me more excited about their day. They are playfully in love, and so obviously caring about one another. When I heard Cait and Joel had booked CJ’s I was even more excited (if that was possible!). I had gotten to shoot there once before, and I instantly had fallen in love with the historical/rustic feel of the place. Sure enough, when I arrived everything looked just amazing, and Cait and Joel were beaming with wedding day excitement. Their first look made my heart flutter, and their decor details added such a special feeling. These two are match made in heaven, and I can’t imagine a more fitting overall day to encompass their love. Read more…
So today’s DIY goes right along with Wednesday’s post about guest top complaints. If you are having an outdoor wedding you may not think about all the little annoying bugs but they will no doubt be out in droves thanks to our mild winter. This DIY takes care of those little pesky creatures. Set up a little table for your guests and if there’s a chance they’ll be in the sun for an extended period, also provide some sunblock.
Today we’re covering the first half of top guest complaints. As much as you want the day to be about you and your hubby-to-be, unless you are getting married without guests, it’s also about them. You’ll want to take these complaints into consideration during the planning process. Read more…
This post is a little different than our normal Real Wedding posts. Allan Williams Photography wanted to share some first look images of three couples along with some great information about these moments.
From Allan Williams Photography: Your wedding day is a truly amazing experience and Susan and I are honored to be there to capture every minute of it! We thought we might use this blog to talk about a few wedding traditions that have become very popular with our brides and grooms over the last few years. For brides and grooms, wedding day can sometimes feel like they are walking a fine-line between a great celebration that is for everyone, but it may also feel so public that they are not able to have just a few private moments to connect with each other. This is where your photographer can provide you a couple options that may be a true oasis, as well as where you can create a few of your most treasured wedding day memories. Read more…
Loving all of this pretty inspiration this AM! This Engagement Session was sent over by Greenville, SC Studio member Red Apple Tree Photography. I adore the soft feel of the images, the couple is adorable, and the bride-to-be’s makeup is perfection!
From Red Apple Tree Photography: Laura and Jon are getting married in the Dominican Republic in June but before they head out to tropical paradise they wanted to capture the essence of what is them with an intimate downtown Greenville engagement session. They are both a down to earth, cool couple who appreciate art, music, fashion, and coffee! We had a blast capturing their special bond and wish them all the very best on their upcoming wedding! We’re all on some sort of budget. Whether it’s a grocery budget, savings budget or even a wedding budget! Being on a tight budget can sometimes lead us astray and we can end up busting that budget by simply trying to stay on it. Good morning ladies and gents! We’re sharing yet another great real this time from Sposa Bella Photography of Greenville, SC! I think my favorite parts of this wedding are the bagpipers and the ceremony set up. Proof you don’t have to limit seating to two straight rows.
From Sposa Bella Photography: Betsy and Macon’s wedding day is one of the weddings we were most excited about this year! You would think it was because they are a gorgeous couple, or the fact that they have amazing families to be around or possibly because of the stunning location. And while all of those were definite perks to this wedding day, we were excited for this one because the events that led up to this amazing wedding are what made it so special. Betsy and Macon’s wedding almost didn’t happen. Read more…
