{Real Wedding} Cait + Joel by Jessie Holloway Photography

Nashville Wedding Photographer

Posted by Lindsey

Two pretty Real Weddings for such a pretty pretty day. This one is shared by Jessie Holloway Photography of the Nashville Studio!

From Jessie Holloway Photography: Meeting Cait and Joel at their engagement session, only made me more excited about their day. They are playfully in love, and so obviously caring about one another. When I heard Cait and Joel had booked CJ’s I was even more excited (if that was possible!). I had gotten to shoot there once before, and I instantly had fallen in love with the historical/rustic feel of the place. Sure enough, when I arrived everything looked just amazing, and Cait and Joel were beaming with wedding day excitement. Their first look made my heart flutter, and their decor details added such a special feeling. These two are match made in heaven, and I can’t imagine a more fitting overall day to encompass their love.

{Friday DIY} Weathered Wood Crates

You’ve no doubt seen adorable little crates in all colors all over wedding blogs for the last few years. They make great props for signs, a perfect place for flowers, and you can even use them to display your silverware! Here’s how to make your very own that’s solid enough to bring you years and years of use. You can use a hand saw for this but I would use a chop saw. If you are afraid of power tools, and you shouldn’t be as long as you use proper safety steps (check out Ana White), then have your boy or another power saw friendly person help you on this project.

How fitting that this beautiful day is accompanied by this beautiful destination wedding sent over by Nashville Studio member Jessie Holloway Photography! I love the southern style flare with the use of baby’s breath and burlap combined with the beach and lighthouse setting. I think my favorite photos are the ones of them walking in the sand. Those trees are really a great backdrop!

From Jessie Holloway: Liz & Derick decided to tie the knot oceanside on St. Simon’s Island in Georgia. Not only was their ceremony adorable (a gazebo by the sea), but their prep and reception location was picture perfect. They rented a beach house that consisted of three levels of wonderful photo ops- the house was one of many pastel homes that decorated the neighborhood. Read more…

Three Real Weddings today! Yup, one from each Wedding 101 city! This one sent in by Teale Photography is spectacular. It’s vintage chic but done in that West Coast way. Which makes perfect sense considering the wedding took place in San Diego. PS. The dessert table makes me giddy!

From Teale: Incredible romantic chic Wedding! The decor was unique and stunning. My favorite detail: forest branches and mason jars lite with tea lights hanging from the ceiling. Perfect! Read more…

Real Wedding: Kelsi + Josh by Seek Joy Photography

It’s another double Real Wedding Monday! I am in love with all the details in this Greenville, SC wedding sent in by Katie of Seek Joy Photography. The draping on the ceremony set up, the hay bails, the tone on tone, and textured cake… the list goes on and on!

From Kaite: Meet Josh and Kelsi Howard. These two are absolutely precious. Kelsi’s sweet spirit and Josh’s love for life makes this couple a delight to photograph. I looked forward to this wedding for months as Kelsi shared all the details planned on their big day. Their fall 2012 wedding was held at the home of Kelsi’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Holombo. Her father built a beautiful arbor with a chandelier in their front yard; this chandelier now hangs in their new home-what a great idea! When it came to the details of the day, Event Planner and Decorator, Ritta Seppala in Greer SC, designed this countryside wedding with beautiful vintage and chic displays. Josh and Kelsi decided to have their “first look” in a rustic barn located on the property. It began to rain as the ceremony began, however, the sun pierced through the clouds as they said their vows. They enjoyed every moment from their first dance to the bride and groom toss. Josh and Kelsi ended the night with floating lanterns followed by a big splash in the backyard pool. To see images from this wedding, be sure to visit Seek Joy Photography’s blog.

I am IN LOVE with this wedding shared by Crystal of Red Apple Tree Photography in Greenville, SC. The vintage vibe of the wedding is really conveyed well through the images and I think that’s my favorite part!

From Crystal: Irene + Steve both have a deep connection with nature, so it was no surprise that they chose to say their wedding vows outdoors surrounded by the beautiful lakes, fields and mountains in which they live nearby. It was absolutely perfect for them! Their aesthetic was up-cycled/vintage and incorporated a lot of natural handmade elements like her bridesmaids bouquets assembled from loose flowers collected from a local farm, Read more…
