It’s all about being thankful today…thankful for friends, family, health, food, shelter…all of the basics and more. Take a few minutes before you reach for the turkey and dressing to review in sincerity what you are thankful. Of course, we are thankful for the beautiful world of brides and weddings that we are blessed to work with daily, so our newest Wedding 101 team member, Ashley Harrison, just had to share a bit of Thanksgiving Day wedding inspiration!

Just the other day I got a notification from Spoonflower, a company who has custom printed fabric you design for several years, notifying me they’re now doing wallpaper. We’re renovating and I literally squeaked with excitement. Don’t forget about using patterned paper as decor. Now that you can have custom designs printed at reasonable rates, you might consider working with a custom stationery designer to create some one of a kind paper backdrops. You can even use them in you new house once the event is over to boot. Read more…

Happy Friday Lovelies! I’m so excited for this weekend. Our little niece, Marlee, turns 5 and we’re off to a Tea Party. It’s fun to see little ones grow and turn into little people. I know Tiffany can’t wait for her little one to arrive! This little DIY is great because it could be used over and over again after the wedding. Holiday decor, parties, barbeques, and even baby showers!

When you think Terrarium some of you may think of those nasty plant habitats of the 1970′s… Oh wait… Most of us weren’t born then but chances are you knew someone growing up who had one from them and just couldn’t part with it. Well you may have noticed they’re making a come back! Here’s a great little project that can add to your decor and you’ll have a little something to give out as gifts after the event.

I’m all about some rope right now. Wednesday’s post has it on my brain. In fact, I’m DIYing some rope wrapped or knotted (haven’t decided yet) rope pulls for a little dining room buffet revamp this weekend! While the DIY is technically called ‘Nautical’ I think it also fits in the realm of vintage, rustic, industrial too. Super easy to make and if you save glass jelly, peanut butter, and pickle jars like me… you won’t even have to pay for the vase. Just the rope and glue! Read more…
